Windows 7 Tips – The Bumper List from Tim Sneath

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

startI came across this blog posting a couple of days ago and I have to say that it is one of the best write-ups on Windows 7 features.  Tim’s post includes a number of hidden features and shows off some of the under the hood enhancements.

A few of the tips (and developments) that I really appreciate are the updates to the taskbar in side-mounted position, the ability to choose various presentation modes (via Win+P) and the ADD helper-like Win+Home combination that will minimize everything besides your active window.

Be sure to read through this one if you are currently running Windows 7.

Windows Live Writer can be downloaded from Microsoft @ http://get.live.com/betas/writer_betas

There are also a number of plugins available that will let you embed online videos, set your blog post to a "Now Playing" tagline and much more.  The application also allows you to do offline blogging, so if you don’t have a hotspot handy and you need to get that thought off your brain…

As I have more of a chance put this app through it’s paces I will update my blog with an additional article.  I will be reviewing some of the available plugins and test the various formatting features.

As I am primarily using a hosted WP site, I am hoping to hear from some of you that have experience with it on the multitude of blogging platforms.

Send me a ping… Cheers, Bryan
