Using Windows Live Writer

There are also a number of plugins available that will let you embed online videos, set your blog post to a "Now Playing" tagline and much more.  The application also allows you to do offline blogging, so if you don’t have a hotspot handy and you need to get that thought off your brain…

As I have more of a chance put this app through it’s paces I will update my blog with an additional article.  I will be reviewing some of the available plugins and test the various formatting features.

As I am primarily using a hosted WP site, I am hoping to hear from some of you that have experience with it on the multitude of blogging platforms.

ScreenCasting: The Jing Project and UltraScreen Recorder

I recently came across the Jing Project.  It is being setup by Techsmith (the folks that bring you Camtasia Suite for screen capping and creating wicked training vids).

The tool is cross platform (Windows and Mac – doesn’t look like linux is in the works) and allows you to create video and annotated screen captures and either save them (swf for video and png for pictures) locally for manual embedding in websites, attachments to emails, etc… or you can share them via a short URL to screencast.com (a user ID is required to store items).
